The lower "headroom", when compared to other species of spruce, make it especially shine for players with a less heavy attack.

Sourced from salvaged materials in coastal British Columbia, red cedar provides an extremely warm tone that works especially well for a softer player or a fingerstylist.

Starts out on the brighter side, but as it is played-in, koa starts to really show off a sweet tone with a lovely mid-range.

A very clear and direct voice that offers amazing sustain and projection. maple serves as a more "neutral" tonewood in that it allows the top to help decide the overall tone of the instrument.

Sourced from a tree that came down in a landslide in the mid 90's in Southern Oregon, myrtlewood exhibits a very clear voice with remarkable sustain. Bright trebles with a very balanced and rounded low end.

Sourced domestically from Arizona, rosewood has a very broad dynamic range with rich lows and sparkly highs. Incredible amounts of sustain make this tonewood a joy to listen to and play.

Offers a crisp tone with a warm and earthy sound overall and great projection. Has a darkness that really shines in the low end.

Sourced from a sawmill in Northern California, sinker redwood comes from logs that are reclaimed from the bottom of rivers in the region. The minerals in the water help provide a variety of rich colours in the wood. A very responsive tonewood that has a lot of warmer overtones to it.
